Permits and Inspections
Most service work needs a permit. Panel upgrades, sub-panel installations, meter base replacements and whole-house rewires all require a permit from your city’s building department and an inspection afterwards. Southern California Edison will not reconnect an upgraded service until that inspection has been signed off.
We explain the permit process and the Edison approval before work starts, and our electricians meet the inspector on site for the walkthrough. All of our work is performed to National Electrical Code guidelines. Requirements differ by jurisdiction. Chino, Chino Hills, Ontario, Riverside and San Bernardino each run their own building department, so call and we will tell you what yours requires.
